Set in the ubiquitous shopping center, Ann Arbor Pharmacy is a balance of neighborhood pharmacist and boutique health retail.
Synecdoche Design integrated the interior design and a branding package to transform the pharmacy to be a place to inquire and learn about wellness options instead of merely an errand to pick-up items. An open concept plan removes the pharmacist from behind the glass partition often seen in typical layouts and out into the open space to connect with customers.
The retail promotes an exploration of products displayed in a way that invites testing and learning with custom fabricated counters and cabinets by Synecdoche.
Along the walls, white oak shelving with moveable boxes frames the product and provides flexible space options to display different sizes and configurations of products, while lower cabinets provide ample storage for additional product stock to optimize the 1,100 SF space. Four large tables with tiered platforms frame a separation between items for a curated display of items.
